Buy 2 or more, only $11.99 each! Mosquito Grass (also called Lemon Grass) contains more citronella than the much advertised Mosquito Plant. The strong citrus odor drives mosquitoes away. In addition to being a very functional patio plant, Lemon Grass is used in the cooking of Oriental cuisine, adding a light lemony taste. Mosquito Grass is a fast-growing clumping grass that is ideal for containers. It is hardy in the south and in northern states it can be brought indoors during the winter and enjoyed as a houseplant. Plant size/format: 2-1/4" pot with 6-8" tops. Zones 5-10. Planting guide included. This item does not qualify for Express or Expedited Shipping. Due to state regulations and/or agricultural restrictions, we cannot ship APO/FPO or to the following states or territories: Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands.

  • I will buy this plant every year !!!!!!

I received two plants in the mail. Just a few blades in a clump of dirt, within weeks I had a tall large plant that I had hoped to split in two. My worry is now that we are at the end of summer will it come back in spring. It is so big and lush, I hope so, this would make this plant perfect. I am not sure about the mosquito issue however the plant is so gorgeous I will buy again regardless. - , El Paso, Texas

I was wondering how the Lemon grass was going to be shipped but I was stunned when they arrived together (2)in a small, longish box... these poor little plants were pathetic looking upon arrival and I wondered if they would survive. • Review mosquito grass

The mosquito grass arrived in not real good condition, as grass looked like it had gotten too dry before arriving here, but hoped I could save it. I planted in new potting soil hoping the roots would take hold, but as of yesterday I'm not sure either pot will make it. Really needed it as after the heavy rains in Oct that South Carolina experienced the mosquito population has been heavy. - , South Carolina

  • get for cooking, not for mosquitos

LemonGrass is great for cooking, Thai dishes, this is a evryday kicker for everythign from marinade to salads. HOWEVER, this does nothing for keeping mosquitos away. I have a sea of these plants, I can rub the leaves on my skin (smells great!) but the mosquitos dont care. Any claim this keeps bugs away is false advertising. - , austin tx (mosquitoville)

After ordering the plant, I found several locally that were much healthier and cheaper. The one I ordered was barely a stem and root with a a few scraggly leaves. By the time it is large enough to make an impact it will be time to go dormant and die. - , Kansas City

  • two weeks later and still very small

I still don't know how well it works. It's been two weeks since I received the grass. It was a very very small mound of grass and most of the leaves were brown. I transplanted it right away and it's grown very little. I'm still waiting for it to turn greener too. I think it's too small to really keep any mosquitos away yet. - , southport, ct

  • Doesn't look at all like picture.

Instructions that came with the plant DID NOT state the plant was dormant and needed 3 to 4 weeks before you would see a difference. I thought 2 of my 3 plants were dead! After 2 weeks, I am still not seeing any improvement. Clearer explanations should be provided. - , Philadelphia suburbs.

  • Not sure they will make it.

When I received the box with the very small plants in it, I opened it. The plants were drying out, half brown and a half green. So, I'm not even sure they're going to make it. I planted them right away in a tray and will transfer to a bigger pot if they start to green up. Doing my very best to save them. Not sure if they work yet, a little bit too early to decide. But, sad I spent that kind of money for such small dry plants. - , Indiana
