Gather your feathered friends near and keep squirrels away with this delightful birdfeeder. Six perches with feeder slots keep the whole flock fed while the steel cage discourages 4-legged creatures from an easy meal. 7 3/4"L x 7 3/4"W x 16 1/2"H
This is a great birdfeeder. Keeps squirrels at bay! Bottom 2 inches are wasted as birds can't get to that food. This is my 2nd one. Highly recommend! -
"I would buy this product again and agai
This is a very nice feeder. -
Excellent Bird Feeder
Keeps the Pigeons and larger birds out! -
Gold Canyon, Arizona
I love this feeder. So do my birds.Squirrel proof!! -
The birds seem to be enjoying, haven't noticed any squirrels around yet to see if it really deters them. -
I've used the products in this magazine for many years and will continue to do so. -
Kansas City, MO
Performs like any other feeder
Another winner! So versatile. Able to use in any roon or outside as a real bird feeder. It is a little on the flimsy side as the top hinged door does not seal as it should for bird sead. -
near Chicago, IL
Love this Feeder!
Had bought this feeder from you 8 years ago and wanted another because it was so great. Keeps squirells and big birds out too!! -
hanging bird feeder
It looks great hanging from a shepherds hook on our deck! -
liked it so much this is #2
I bought the first birdfeeder a while ago, It really is so sharp looking it sort of made the others look ugly, I have my feeder hung on a shepards hook two that face each other so I figured why not have them match, I have to say glad I bought the second one it looks so much better with matching feeders, birds love em too.although beware those sneaky chipmunks still riggle their way inbetween the wire and feeder. They have to work at it but for the most part the birds enjoy and we enjoy watching. -
It's Pretty & Functional
I like feeders that allow small birds to eat and deter the larger birds like pigeons. -
Las Vegas, NV
HOLDS ALOT OF BIRD SEED AND IS VERY PRETTY -
Nice quality feeder
So far not one bird came to the feeder. But one good thing the 4 legged animals cannot eat the bird seed. -
Very popular for the birds!
The quality is great. The feeder will last since the material is glass and metal. It adds to the outdoor setting! -
Council Grove, KS
larger than expected
quick delivery and awesome feeder. was very pleased. will last for years to come. -
We love these feeders and so do the birds!
Buy em every couple of years. As long as the
price stays the same, we'll continue to do so -
Best Squirrel Proof Feeder
We've had many different bird feeders that are supposed to be "squirrel proof" but this is the only one that works. We have lots of squirrels in our yard and they don't even try and get food out of it anymore. I just bought my second one because we are so pleased with it. It DEFINITELY will keep out the squirrels. -
I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN!!!
OUTSIDE ON MY PATIO -
I would recommend this to anyone.
I am quite pleased with this bird feeder. It is durable and keeps the squirrels from eating all of the seed on the birds. The only thing I could want to change it would be to make it bigger. -
Love it. Those pest rats can't food
Love It so much. I'm going to get another one ;) -
The picture doesnt do it justice
Was going through a lot of seed, thanks to the squirrels. This has solved my problem plus keeps the cat at bay. Have doubled the amount of birds and attracted different species that I never had. They usually got no chance at the seed thanks to the squirrels. This is bigger and a better quality than it looks. You wont go wrong. -
old lady hermit on the mountain,
Great Bird Feeder
This is a great birdfeeder-easily refills and the birds just flock to it. -
Fleming Island Florida

Hanging Bird Feeder
We are in our 80s and life long birders/ and bird feeders. We have been battling the squirrels all those years! Finally, we have one feeder that protects the many and varied little birds, even from jays and crows who have their own "big" feeder, but especially the greedy squirrels who have their own corn on the cob and suet feeders. But they want it all, and now they can't have it a the expense of my precious little ones. Thanks so much, as usual you come up with wonderul as well as beaufiful products at reasonable prices. -

Excellent feeder for small birds
Our new feeder has been in our yard for about three weeks.....the smaller birds,i.e. finch, sparrows, titmouse, etc feel secure within the wires.....and soooooooo many can fit at one time...for us this brings pleasure and wonderful mornings of watching them eat and sing. The redwing blackbirds and orioles also try to eat thru the wires with their heads only.....great product. -
Ventura Co. CA
This is a great Feeder!!!
This has proven to be one of the absolute best bird feeders I have ever purchased. I have in the neighborhood of 11 feeders going at a time. I have a rather large back yard. This is one that has stayed out throughout the seasons and definitely stood up to the elimates. I will probably have to buy another before the one I have is no longer usable. It is definitely worth the money and then some. -
Well built, Easy to fill
Feeds wild birds. Keeps the larger birds away -
Santa Barbara, CA
This item was purchased as a gift for my sisiter. I owned one previously and was happy wiht the function and quality -
Works! NO squirles!
Sturdy, relieable, feeder built to last. -
Just love it!!
This is a great birdfeeder!!! And so far it has managed to keep the squirrels from raiding it! Birds now have chance :-)
it is also very attractive and sturdy! -
Well-designed bird feeder. Keeps out the pigeons and allows the smaller birds to be able to eat. Well made and an attractive desgin for the backyard bird enthusiast. -
Beautiful bird feeder. Squirrel proof. Bird love this feeder. -
Used the birdfeeder as the centerpiece of a garden raffle basket for my church's festival this past weekend.
It was alot larger and sturdier than I thought it would be - pleasantly suprised. -
Love this idea!
We always get more than our share of squirrels each year and I needed a way to save some of the food for the birds, WOW, this feeder does more than I hoped it would! The guard around the feeder keeps all the other animals except the small birds wondering how to get to the food!! -
Akron, New York
I just got this 2 days ago and i love it,i have all kinds of birds coming to eat.I'm going to order two more. -
I just replaced the same cage I had for two years; in Fl they rust....however they were still able to be used but I chose to get new ones. I suggest it to save the seed from waste by squirrels picking out their favorites and tossing the rest. -
It was nicer then we thought!
The birds love it and so do we! -
the chocolate lover,
What a beautiful design...... so many compliments. -
A Very Nice Bird Feeder
These are very handsome birdfeeders I ordered two.
My husband made some adjustments on them.
We love watching the birds and always feed them.
We have a lot of fine feathered friends that bring us great pleasure. -
no more squirrels
This is a good bird feeder for those of us who live in the rural areas and get squirrels eating and knocking bird feeders food out. They cannot do it with this one. I would like to see this same feeder in a bigger size as we have a lot of birds in our area!! -
Cheryl the busy bee,
Loma Linda, Ca
The true test is in the use of it by the birds and they give it a feather up. -
It is a lot nicer than I thought it would be.
It will make a perfect gift for anyone who loves to feed birds. -
Excellent for birds.
Holds up quite well. Had my 1st one for years before the liner broke. I liked it so much I bought 2 this time. -
La Tuna Canyon, Ca
Thi is a great feeder for the money!
Keeps the squirrels out ! -
Gave As A Present
Gave this as a present to a friend who was having problems with squirrels. He no longer has a problem. -
Keeps the squirrels out!
This is the first birdfeeder I've found that actually keeps the squirrels out. -
very sturdy, good buy when on sale
comes in one piece -
It is what the description says it is.
Surprised that the many squirrels that we have in the neighborhood have not investigated the bird feeder at all. -
IT IS TERRIFIC!
This is my second one. It is the best feeder I've ever had! I got a rounded "baffle" to hang from above the feeder, and neither the squirrels or the rain can get to it! The small and big birds love it and come to it all the time. It is a great design and I hope you never stop carrying it! Great for gifts, my sister sent mine to me. -
San Jose, CA
Very entertaining...watching the birds figuring out how to get to the food. -
It's quite a saving article but you must get songbird feed for it. Regular birdseed with corn doesn't work because the small birds don't care for the corn. -
Gold Canyon, AZ
Squirrel Proof Feeders!!
I love watching the birds from my picture window but the squirrels have been keeping a lot of the birds away. These feeders are terrific! Every now and then one contorts and gets a few seeds but quickly gives up! Yesterday I identified two birds that I have not seen before. Except for a red bellied woodpecker, the larger birds have been slow to try it, but I am confident that they will! They are coming around, so they will sooner or later. -
Great addition to any garden
This is a beautiful birdfeeder to add to any garden. Small birds can easily feed without worrying about pigeons eating all of their food. The birdseed does not spill on the ground like others feeders I've had tend to do. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feed their small to medium sized feathered friends. -
Bans the Squirrels
Excellent for keeping squirrels out of the bird food. The squirrels climb up the shepherd hook and get on top of it, but cannot figure out how to get to the food -
Great product, attractive to look at,the birds get to eat in peace. The smaller birds now can eat without competing with Squirrels, Starlings, and Blue Jays. -
Beautiful !!!! I like so much !!!
Cutie !! -
great product for reasonble price!!
I bought a bird feeder and it's very good quality for a reasonble price compared to bird supply stores. It should help with keeping squirrels away. -
Small birds love it.
The only complaint is that the rain gets into it and makes the seed in the bottom rotten. It takes a bit of poking around and washing to clean the bottom out. However, this is our 2nd one and the little birds think it's great! -
Bought 2 and one as a gift for Mom... looks great in the yard and keeps other critters out. easy to fill seed. Only wish they would make one that keeps the crows away. -
Hanging Bird feeder
I have it hanging in a tree close to my patio so I can see the birds. -
This feeder is wonderful. Large and beautiful hanging on my deck. -
North Dinwiddie, Va
Perfect Bird Feeder
I had to buy another one of these, I liked it so much! It's a perfect feeder for the smaller birds - they fly right in and perch on the pegs. Truly a bird in a bird cage for a few moments. And best of all - the squirrels can't get to the food, and the food stays dry. -
so pretty, good quality, would be proud to give as a gift. -
Nice to look at. Easy to fill. Great for the small and medium size birds. Big deal=it baffles the squirrels. -
Keeps out the squirrels -
Great good quality birdfeeder!!
Love this birdfeeder it is good quality and best of all the squirrls can't destroy it...LOVE IT!!! -
Bird food last! No squirrels can get to food! -
Lisa the shopper,
The birds are singing
We use this birdfeeder outside year round. The birds love it and no complaints yet. It holds quite a bit so you don't have to fill it as often as some others. Seems sturdy and the price was right. -
i love this bird feeder and it is much nicer
than it looks in the catalog. The design is
very nice and it is squirrel proof which I really like. -
The birds and I love it!!!
Loved it so much bought one for my daughter in law. She loved it too. -
west bloomfield, MI
I had a bird feeder just like this one which I had bought from you some years ago but a bear came into my yard and took it. So I was very happy to see it in your catalog. It makes a very nice addition to my yard. -
Bird Feeder Exceeds All Expectations!
This feeder is "squirrel proof" and only birds small enough to fit through the grating can get to the bird food. Very durable! Very unique! -
Really nice looking feeders
They are really nice looking feeders for the money but I don't care for the top how you put the seeds in. It's a little stiff and doesn't want to stay shut sometimes, otherwise I really like them. Looks nice on the shepherd's hook I have in the yard. -
Another purchase for my sister. The feeder surprised me...it was a good size and quite durable. I am guessing it has worked for her as well. AND....it was already assembled!!! -
La Porte, Tx.
defin nitely a very good product
great for keeping squirrels out of the feeder -
I am getting ready to order more
The birds love it, and we are enjoying the birds. -
Willow Grove, PA
the Bird Feeder that works!
We have been through many feeders trying to find "The One" that would out smart the neighborhood squirrel. Finally this is the ONE!!! We have watched all the little birds enjoy eating and the squirrel just circle and chatter trying to get the seed. Thank you for offering this great feeder. I see many more years of service from it as well, as it is the best built feeder we have had in some time. -
Copperas Cove, Texas
bird feeder (metal)
Durable nice design -
Looks beautiful. Little birds love it.

Would buy product again
The price was right. Nice design and color, the birds seem to like it. Drawing more birds then before. Have nothing bad to say about it. -
Finally a squirrel proof birdfeeder!
The birdfeeder is squirrel proof and keeps birds safe. -
BIRDS ARE LOVING IT! I LOVE THE BIRDS...
Have this hanging from a tree where I can observe the feeding times. -
West Palm Beach, FL
bird feeder.ordered another
this is the 2nd one I ordered, original one is still in great shape, got another to add to another area.. -
I have several bird feeders. The large birds kept eating all the seed, so the smaller birds had none. This was perfect, I put it in my willow tree and can watch the smaller birds go in to eat with no worries. The large birds cannot get in...... I am going to order another. -
Try this to eliminate moldy seed
To eliminate moldy seed at the bottom, fill with gravel, packing peanuts, or stones up to bottom feeding holes -
Arlington Hts, Illinois
I bought one for myself. I liked it so much bought my parents one. -
Would buy it again
easy setup -
Works great, keeps out big birds.
Keeps out bigger birds and squirrels. -

Saratoga Springs, NY
Birds and I love this feeder
Attractive and the squirrels can't get to the food. -
Bird Feeder 2nd time around
This is the 2nd feeder I've purchased and they are amazing. Only needed to buy a 2nd one because a too-friendly bear took possession of the first one!! -
Great small bird feeder
My little birds get to eat what they want and drop the bigger seeds for bigger birds squirrels doc ( who can't get thru the wire cage) -
Nice looking, sturdy, great size -
"I would buy this product again and again
I bot one of these several years ago, and was thrilled to see I could order another! -
I don't have a nickname,
I totally enjoy this feeder.
I have a pair of these bird feeders and I think they are great. They hold a lot of seed, keeps the squirrels out, and keeps the seed dry. When giving as a gift, add a gallon of bird seed. Use as a housewarming gift, or a hostess gift when you go for a BBQ. -
Best Bird Feeder
Absolutely best bird feeder for the money. It's durable and almost squirrel proof. Squirrels are only able to access top inch or two of feed then they give up. Feeder is for small birds only. I've paid much more elsewhere for feeders but this is the only one I will use from now on. -
I would buy this product again and again
The deer and squirrels cannot get to the bird food. I have not found a bird feeder like this in any store. This feeder attracts lots of birds and this is the second one I've bought because the first one wore out. It is affordable, not like the ones in the stores that cost an arm and a leg. -
Rae of sunshine,
I love this bird feeder.
Very attractive in the yard. Had to cover top as lid does not keep rain out. -
Hanging bird feeder
My finches love this bird feeder and it attractive and the best price, in stores it is much higher priced, I'm going to purchase another one. -
dee i love the birds,
Beautiful design. Birds love it. Well made! -
Fountain Hills, AZ
Would certainly purchase again.
Perfect for intended use outdoors. -
New Orleans, La.
Great Birdfeeder. I purchased the same one at a Restaurant that has a gift shop (don't think we can state the name) and loved it. I paid little more than double for it at the restaurant. I was excited to see Collections had the same. I have purchased another one form my mother and another to match the one I already had. It's very durable. It also keeps the Black Birds out due to the small bars. -
I bought this based on the other reviews. I have not placed it outside yet. It is very sturdy and will keep the squirrels away! -
Love this feeder!
I have purchased two of these for myself and most recently one for a gift to my daughter-in-law. I have been very pleased with this feeder, especially compared to designs of others I have reviewed. -
Squirrels cann't chew metal
Larger birds like carnials cann't reach through to portals to get the feed. Small birds love it. -
Very attractive and durable bird feeder. Much better than others I've seen that were much more expensive. -
Birds Love it !!
This is one of the best, if not the best, bird feeders I have ever owned. No squirrels! I have not seen one squirrel try to jump on it to get the seeds. What I think is great about it is that there is no tray on the bottom to catch the seeds. I think it's great because when some seeds fall to the ground, other birds can scavenge to get some food. Easy to refill too! -
Staten Island, NY
The Birds give it two beaks up!!
This is a very attractive bird feeder. The smaller birds have their fill daily. It keeps the doves and the squirrels at bay so the little ones may eat at will. I love the design. -
This was purchased for a gift basket for a charitable auction, and will be used with a birdbath, bird watcher book etc. It is an attactive addition. I want one for myself! -
Soap Lake, WA
Hanging flying squirrel feeder
The flying squirrel's love to eat out of this at night. The only downfall is it is not very durable as the bears love it to and it does not stand up to thier love of it. -
The flying squirrel lover,
Deer River, Minnesota
Great bird feeder
Love the feeder for my small birds that come to my yard. I am glad they have some place to eat. The cardinals and squirrels took over my other feeders. -
Bird lover from NC,
Good size and keeps the squirrels at bay
This holds a good amount of seed and is quite attractive on my covered patio. Keeps the squirrels at bay. Love it. -
Anti Squirrel Birdfeeder
This is my second one! The squirrels can't steal the birdseed! -
Bel Air, MD

Great looking and great quality bird feeders. It is durable and yes - "It is for the birds" -
Santa Rosa CA
Very attractive and holds lots of seed so you don't have to refill often. Keeps the squirrels out completely and the birds safely inside!Had a problem with the first one but collections shipped out another right away, trustworthy company. -
Great design birds love it
keeps the smaller birds happy and larger birds away -
Great product -squirrel proof
After reading some of the comments, I placed an order for this product. Before hanging it outside I placed a piece of plastic wrap held down by rubber band to protect the seeds from water and snow. Worked great!
Best part is that the feeder does keep the squirrels out. It is fun to watch them trying to get to the seeds. -
A NH animal lover,
nice size feeder
very nice birdfeeder, larger than I thought it would be, can't wait for summer! -
I love it. The squirrels can't get to it.
The squirrels are so frustrated because they can't get to it. It is made very well and is
really strong and so attractive. I've bought many other feeders over the years and this is my #1 favorite. After I ordered my first one and saw how great it was, I ordered two more. -
Harrison township, Michigan
I live in a mobile home park that is infested with cats. This is perfect feeder for birds to eat and be safe from cats. -
Las Vegas, Nv.
I Love this birdfeeder. At first no birds were interested. After a week or two, about six birds were eating at one time!! I think with the cage around it, birds are a little intimated by it, but once they are less afraid they really enjoy it. Yes, only the little birds can fit, but when they spill some of the feed on the ground, the larger birds have some off the ground. If you are concerned about water getting in from the top, just before you close the lid, put plastic wrap and foil over it to put a seal. Seems to be working so far for me. Hope this hold up over time but for now I really love it and so do the birds!! -
Mom with kids,
feeder as describer,foils the squirrels
product as described -
The bird feeder
I;m very pleased with this bird feeder as my wild birds are also. -
I would by this again
Took a while for the birds to feed from the feeder, once they discovered it I have lots of birds feeding, the squirrels cannot get the seed which is a big plus for my yard.
Not too happy about the seed being stuck at the bottom and wet, hard to remove from that area too. Apart from that I plan on purchasing another. -
Birds Love it!
Very pretty, well built -
BEST BIRD FEEDER I'VE SEEN YET !!!
This is the most attractive & strong bird feed I've seen by far, Very nicely designed to keep away squirrels, which should be fed, but away from your birds...each should have their own area for the most part. because I love them both ! -
glad to be able to keep squirrels out of the bird seed. -
Birds love it & so do I
Bluejays, mocking birds even smaller birds love it but the squirrels do not. So this feeder is a big success. The color is perfect too. Someone suggested putting plastic wrap under the cover on top to keep rain out and IT WORKS.
I would give this bird feeder a thumbs up. -
I have three of this feeder in my feeding tree for my birds. I also have several other larger feeders too. This smaller feeder let's the smaller birds get to eat.The change keeps squirrels out. -
Keeps the Squirrels Out
Very durable and it looks good, the birds love it. -
The birds enjoy this feeder.
It's a wire and metal covered feeding tube. Perfectly Pratical for feeding the early returning birds to my mid-America home yard. -
Good design to keep out the squirrels. -
Really attractive bird feeder and the squirrels cannot get to the feed. I have a huge problem with squirrels eating my seed and this feeder is a nice addition to my collection of new feeders that are squirrel proof. -
The birds love it!
This bird feeder is a lot larger than I had expected. The birds go crazy over it and the squirrels hate it. -
have bought more than one
the birds love this feeder. keeps the squirrels out and looks nice in garden -
Definitely fun to watch
A constant flow of birds feed here during the day -

Handsome Hanging Bird Feeder
Will shop again -
love this one
bought one a couple of years agao used it all year round and i am still using it. metal keeps the squirrels from chewing. bought another one this year. -
I would buy this again if I needed to.
It is a bird Feeder that is built to keep squirrels away and does...The first one I got had a defect in the lid and when I called they sent me a new one when I describe the fault in the lid and I didn't have to return the old one..Like all metal, if it falls there can be dents in it but overall it is a lovely item if you like to feed the birds and watch the different species arrive and feed.
Comes wrapped and protected extremely well. -
Oceanside, New York
to cute to use
This is so nice. Was surprised it was in Collections for the price it was. I haven't used it yet as so nice. It is sitting on my back enclosed porch. Maybe during summer. LOL -

A Birdfeeder with CLASS - BRAVO
I purchased one of these about 2 months ago, but was a little concerned birds would not go for it because of it "protective metal guard rails" surrounding the actual feed tube. Well, I was wrong. Birds like the wild yellow canaries we have here in the South, and blue birds flock to it. I even have Cardinals feeding from it. The unit is very attractive. I do not hang these from tree limbs, but rather from free-standing hook rods placed away from over-head tree limbs. Squirrel's just can't get to the feed tube because of the protective cage surrounding it. That for me is a 100% plus feature. Purchase two more a month ago and purchase another two more just recently. Yeah. I like these birdfeeders. -
Birds love it; squirrels-not so much!
After years of feeding the finches in tube feeders and having the squirrels hang from them and emptying them of seed I finally found these feeders which really discourage the squirrels from using them. Only the finches and small wrens can get inside. My only wish is that the feeders could have some type of cover so the seed inside wouldn't get wet in a downpour and clog the holes when it dried. They really are "squirrel-proof" as advertised, affordable, and nice looking. I highly recommend them. My only complaint is that it is difficult to clean the bottom of the tube when seed has caked together. It would be helpful if the bottom of the tube screwed off but none if the other feeders I have seen do this. Guess I can't have everything!!! -
We bought it so the little birds aren't pushed about by the big birds and it's doing the job. It's very attractive too -
LOVE!!! LOVE!!! LOVE!! Does what is says in keepin squirrels out! They still try but can't succeed! Not enough room for them to hang on! Wonderful for the very small birds birds such as lil sparrows, I have baby woodpeckers that flock to it daily! I place a suet treat inside n they all go bananas! Also stick lots of rolls inside n The bigger birds will stick their heads in n try to grab what they canbut they can't get comfy since its made for the lil ones! Looks beaufotul on my tree out front n I've seen others double the price not nearly as nice in quality n design! It's like the lil birds r actually sitting in a birdcage when they go in so fun to watch! -
Feastercille trevose pa
This feeder is a great addition to our back yard. The squirrels can't get to the birdseed, but the birds can. This is one of my favorite feeders. -
Attention Bird Lovers---Squirrel Haters
lovely addition to our garden art,and feathered friends love it -
What a great product
I bought two of these for my mother, she loves watching birds but the squirrels were always invading her feeders. It lets the smaller birds feed and the larger birds ( crows) and squirrels cannot get into it. Saves money on bird seed. Love, Love it. -
I had bought one for Mom but they threw it out when they cleaned her home so I had to buy another one for me. the squirrels have broken the feeders I had last year trying to get at the food. This is durable. -
Very cute & practical
We appreciate your service and products. -
Lake Mills, WI

Deer Park New York
outsmart the squirrels
as stated the whole process took maybe a week as the service and shipping was really fast. these squirrel proof feeders are so much better than I expected..they are larger way more attractive and will last quite some time..neighbors love them and will be ordering as I gave them info -
LOVE this bird feeder. I have a collection of them and this is one of my favorite -
I was very surprised at the overall quality at your price. -
worth a try
squirrels ruined most of our feeders...they eat the plastic...so decided to give this one a try. The small birds really like it...and I haven't seen the squirrels try it at all. -
King of Prussia, PA
Different type of bird feeder.
We feed the birds sunflower seeds and the holes for the seeds to com out would not allow the sunflower seeds to come out. But it was fixable by just making the hole a little larger. I guess the feeder is meant for smaller type seeds like wild bird seed mixtures. -
lovely addition to garden
Service and delivery as promised -
Bird and Dog Lover
The birds love it. However, one bird got its head caught in one of the decorative curls on the top of the feeder. I used a pair of pliers to crush the curls very small to prevent this from happening again. Otherwise the birds and I love the feeder. -
Garden City, N.Y.
Keeps the squirrels out. Looks great.
Beutitful Unit for Show
This is a very attractive bird feeder and I like it's appearance. I just purchased this unit so I am still learning from it.
I can tell you this . . . do not hang from a tree branch. Those squirrel will figure out how to tear it down and open the top.
Now, hanging this attractive unit from a free standing hook pole and away from trees does work.
What I do not know yet is whether birds trust it to feed from it. (it is a cage design, and forces the birds to fly pass the outer cage protection to feed on the stems attached to the feeder tube - - - see close up's of pictures to understand what I mean here). So far I have not seen any birds feeding from it since I put this unit on a free-standing pole away from trees, but pretty confident I will. -
Great feeder--small birds like it too!
Small birds can access feeder; keeps squirrels out. -
I love the look but thought the bottom was solid. Don't know if the seed will fall through constantly. -
North Wales, PA
Very nice looking
Have not been able to put outdoors yet as it is winter here, but I am concerned that the seed will fall easily to the ground. From the picture I thought the bottom was solid. Still, it is so pretty that I will hang it out even if just for show. -
North Wales, PA
Attractive, holds a lot of bird food,
Low Maintenance, durable. -
well made for the price.
This feeder is attractive looking. Has grid so squirrels cant get to it. Holds a good deal of birdseed. -
I can't wait until spring to put this in my yard the birds will be so happy -
Great for the little feathered friends
I am retracting my statement. It takes about two weeks and then the birds do eat seed from this feeder. -

It's Not Squirrel Proof
I just loved my new feeders, but after an hour I decovered that the feeder was not squirrel proof, as one of those little critters had wedeged itself inside one of the feeder and was having a feild day with the bird's food. The feeder is constructed well and I would recomend it to my friends that feed birds but how do we keep the other critters out -

Just what I was looking for to keep hawks from diving in on birds while they are eating. Only dislike is that the seed level falls below the last bird feed opening. I filled with sand up to that point as not to waste food below where the birds can eat. I am buying another as it serves my purpose. :) -

Good quality. Much better than expected.
Small birds love this. Use all year round!! -
Ottawa Lake, MI
Very please with the design, color & sturdiness of our newest birdfeeder, but, for some strange reason birds don't feed from it or even stop by to investigate. Tried several different seeds but still, not a bird in sight??? -
I would buy this product again
Very sturdy quality. I enjoy watching the birds feed. -
Birds love it! Improvement needed.
The birds love the feeder, but the chirping stops before its empty because the seed stacks on the bottom out of reach of the bottom holes. If you don't catch on to this, the seed sits and sticks and will not come out. Very pretty hanging out front and always filled with birds. -
I like it
I will hang this outside this summer to prevent rust -
Always want to have this product.
We use this product all year long, even in the wintertime. Since it did get some rust after several years, I have painted it with polyurythene to keep that from happening. Now we enjoy watching the birds feed at our windows no matter what the season. -
New Cumberland, Pennyslvania
I may just buy more of these
This will keep & care for my feathered friends ! -
This feeder works well......
the blackbirds can't get to it and knock the food all on the ground. It's only for small birds but that's alright. -
I hanged it from my tree and it looks lovely -
el paso, tx
I love watching the all the birds eating and flying around all the other birds to get their place for eating!! -
Great construction - 4 stars because of no bottom tray to feed the "bottom feeders" - good price! Would purchase again! -
An unusual design, attractive and easy to use -
This attractive feeder turned out to be much heftier than expected; I even ordered a 2nd feeder right after that. The only drawback for me is that you can only use smaller seed in this feeder. Peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc., are too big for the openings. My main visitors are chickadees and nuthatches, so this feeder doesn't work so well for these particular birds. I haven't seen any other birds use it, but that will probably change, come fall and winter, when they will be hungry and persistent enough to figure it out! -
Birds not sure how this works
Now have 2 feeders but birds aren't quite sure how to get the seed out -
Feed the Birds
Does what it is supposed to do - feed the birds. Larger birds can knock the columns out of alainment and cause the seed to run out on the ground. This can easily be remedied by a drop or two of clue on all parts during assembly. -
waiting for the winter months to try it out-but it looks like it will do the job quite well! -
Keeps squirrels out
Keeps squirrels out of feeder -
ok for the money
Have seen simular type feeders at alot more
expencive price. I took a lid off a poweraid
mix container , plastic. cut a small slit to make fit better & it will now work great to keep water out. Price other feeders & then you will see what i mean . I have used diffrent type feeders over the years & it is not un common for some of the food to get wet now & then -
i've purchased more
Feeder is very good, except it could use some water drain holes in bottom. -

Well-made birdfeeder holds a lot of seed
Love the design and size of this feeder. Not crazy about the flimsy metal clips to hold the inside seed container. I think they'll break soon which will make the tube wobble. No problem unless the birds are afraid of the seed tube moving while they eat. We'll see. All in all, I like it. -
second time around was good
It was replaced by the first one I ordered because the lid could not close because of inside plastic sticking up too high. When you replaced the item for me it still was hard to close so I bent back these three metal tabs and then it did close a little easier and what I did, did not ruin the look of the bird feeder. -
best looking bird feeder ever
great looking the smaller bird can sit and take a load off. -
very happy with product
Ordered one n was very pleased - ordered another! easy for little birds to use while keeping the bigger birds away from seed! -
Too late in season
I hung it out in October but found the birds are gone for the winter. The opening for the birds to get the seeds are too small for the average bird. -
I bought this with the intent to use as a Finch feeder. I have alot of black birds that continue to eat all the thistle for the Finch's. Happy to say that this design keeps the bigger birds out. This is also alot prettier than the standard Finch feeder. -
This was great just like the picture very durable and I've had a lot of birds come to it, I'd definitely recommend it -

Red Squirrels still get in
We had one squirrel that could open the top lid so here is what my husband did about that. He bought a 3" spring from [...] and put a hook on one end and a ring on the other. He hooked the one end to the cage and stretched the spring so the ring would go over the knob on the top. Now the squirrel can't get in! We are still have trouble, however, with a small red squirrel! -
Tyler Hill, PA
Very large nicely made feeder that appears to work. Pretty, too. The squirrels cannot reach the seed ports. Which means fewer refills & very good all-around cost savings for me. Just know that only smaller birds (chickadees, sparrows, titmice, wrens) can feed directly from it. Larger birds, like cardinals & towees, must eat whatever the small birds drop on the ground. But better this than the squirrels hogging all the food! I also did what another customer suggested & filled the bottom of the feed tube with gravel. This prevents seed build-up & rot below the lowest ports. Great advice, thank you! -
This bird feeder is very durable. We have a wild squirrel that has broken our plastic feeders, knocks them down. I bought 2 of these feeders, he's able to open the lid and eat from the top. But he can not knock it down, yet. He's very smart. I bought another of these feeders to replace a ducted tape feeder. And will probably buy another or 2 soon. -
Birds love it. -
Carley the gardener,
Very attractive and serviceable. The squirrels have to use the other feeders now! Service and shipping over the years has always been excellent. -
This feeder is so pretty and unique. However, the slots seem to be so close that I am not seeing any birds getting in to get the seed.... Maybe I have it placed in the wrong area. I am happy with it and, if I never get any birds, it will still be used as a beautiful hanging feeder. Thank you... -

Happy Birthday Gift
I bought this as a birthday gift for a friend who is an avid bird watcher. She was very pleased with the look and said more birds are eating from this one. -
After reading the reviews, I adjusted my birdfeeder to "upgrade". I added small pebbles to the height of the lowest opening - not wasting seeds; added foil on the top to stop any rain from entering and made sure lid was tight. Voila!! Birds galore and squirrels no more!! -
Jan the Gram,
keeps unwanted critters away when I hang it
on a tree limb -
I'm giving this as a gift, but I love the color and design. It would look great in any backyard and I like the squirrel proof bars. -
Larger birds have trouble with access.
Not as well constructed as I would like. -
birds love it while squirrels cant!
Great birdfeeder:) -
This is my second one!
Had one already - still usable, but top has to be wired shut to be watertight. Loved the bird feeder, figured I'd find a way to keep the lid tight again, good value, in spite. (That's why I took off 1 star.) Last one I taped off the clear areas and spray painted with hammered copper - lovely! -
The feeder is great since the squirrels cannot get to the seed. The feed part could be a little wider. -
HANGING BIRD FEEDER
This is a very sturdy feeder. The only problem is that it's to open on the bottom and a little squirrel can get into that area. This is our 3rd feeder (first one wore out - second a bear took). -
THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT
The only problem I see with this is that all the seed can't be eaten. Some remains in the bottom below the holes, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. The squirrel tried to eat from it but could not. I did put a cover over the feeder to protect from the rain. All bird lovers need one of these! -
Madison Hgts, MI
cute for the birds
The birdfeeder is so cute and the birds love it. Unfortunately 3 days after hanging it we had a bad strom and a large tree limb crashed and bent it severely. I have since tried to shape it as well as possible. Just bad dumb luck. -
Great birdfeeder but squirrels get in it
The birds love it, lots of room for many birds.Easy to fill. The squirrels somehow get in the openings and get to the seed. They also open the lid to get the seed.I wire it shut. They are really smart. -
Love the looks
I love the looks of this feeder.Just sorry that the birds have not found it yet, they still go to the old ones I have. -
Corinth, New York
The Little Birds Love it
Using it all year round in Colorado for over 3 years. However the Colorado squirrels were too smart, and were able to open the top. Make sure to wire the top shut with extra long twist ties. They try, but they are now kept out! -
Where the catch meets the feeder, a better paint or powder coat would eliminate the rust that is starting to form. Check that area, and the hinges for wear. It would be better to charge a little more and powder coat the whole feeder, that would eliminate the rust totally. -
St. Louis, MO
At first I didn't think the birds were going to like it but now they do. -
It's feeding time!!
Great quality work on the bird feeder, the only complaint is that the cord used to hold it isn't strong enough against a squirrel!! -
Lake Placid, Fl
For the Birds
I was hoping birds would come and eat from it; however none did. -
Not squirrel proof
The squirrels in Wisconsin are smart. They worked at it for a few days and finally got the top open. My husband drilled a hole in the catch and put in a screw. Now the only way the squirrels can get it open is if they learn how to use a screwdriver. -
Seems to be made of decent quality
It is hanging in the yard. Birds haven't found it yet. May be too early to report. -
The wire mesh is too close for birds eat
The item is well made but the area for the birds to get the feed to to small because of the wire on the outside to keep squirrels out. -
Bluffton. S. Carolina
Three tries and it's good
First one the weld was broken on the top. Second one had no perches. Third one was as discribed. -
P for Patty,
Very cute, but birds did not like going inside bars to get to feeder. Used dremel and cut some bars, birds now use. -
Didn't keep squirrels out
I hung the birdfeeder on a tree limb out back of my house; squirrels can still get INSIDE the wire and eat the seeds. Causes heck with my dogs... barking to try to scare them away. -
The Villages, FL
Nice but could be designed better
Bird feeder is constructed well with the exception of the bottom feeder holes are way above the bottom of the tube therefore leaving seed in the bottom that the birds just can't get to. It is an attractive feeder. -
Not very practical
Top latch doesn't close
Small birds cannot really feed very well -
The design at the top will catch a squirrel's foot so be careful if you have squirrels around your yard. It took us forever to release our little squirrel. -
looks nice - seems sturdy but I ordered 2 and the first one I opened the lid doesn't fit properly - the second one is a gift for our neighbor and I'm hoping hers fits better. -
Lovely, but rusts quickly
I have purchased two for myself. The first one rusted quickly, so I sprayed the second one with clear enamel. It also rusted. It's a very pretty and decorative bird house. However, it only lasted for a few months. It might best be used for an indoor patio for decoration. -
Bought as gift. My friend loved it. -
Albert Lea mn
Attractive but not very functional
The cage surrounding the feeding port is too small for most birds that come to my feeders. When they do use it, there is lots of seed in bottom they cannot reach due to design. It wastes feed especially once it gets all wet from rain. -
Birds loving it
good design and my birds are loving it and the squirrels can't get to it.....LOL -
Happy birds in Catonsville!
Very attractive, but not sure the birds are as interested in the feeder with the cage around it. -
Bought the bird feeder to help keep the squirrels out and well the squirrels here in shoshone Idaho are pretty smart as they have figured out how to open the latch and get to the feed it was pretty funny to watch -
I love this birdfeeder!!
It looks great off my patio. -
nice looking but birds won't use it
I hung this outside where I have a lot of sparrows were feeding but they left when I switched to this feeder. Had to put the old cheap one back up -
beautiful design but flimsy lid catch
Thought this "squirrel proof" beautiful design would be great however the lid catch is a flimsy piece of metal and not hinged so it broke off on the third fill of seed :( -
Don't judge a book by its cover
The bird feeder is decorative but if you want to actually use it as a bird feeder it needs to be adapted so the birds can reach the seeds. I cut off some of the wires and found a way to put a base on the bottom of the cage so the birds could actually feed. -
cute but hard to reach
looks great but I had to bend the bars so the small birds and get their heads in to eat food. plus they can not get seeds out of the bottom of feeder. -
I was looking for a feeder that was squirrel proof and this one is. Unfortunately it is a bit bird proof too. Perhaps not for the very tiny birds but a bigger bird has a hard time reaching the seeds. I like this feeder it is very durable and well made. I see birds going to it but leaving soon. Not sure if they are eating or not yet. Will wait and see how it goes. It is pretty much rain proof too. I like that as many of my feeders are not. -
Attractive, but difficult to clean.
Again very attractive hanging in the garden, but when came time to clean, hard to get center feed tube out. Lid also too loose and rain and moisture gets in and clogs and hardens in bottom part of tube where birds can't reach the seed. -
Very pretty but hard for the birds to get t
This is a pretty bird feeder but I believe it is too hard for the birds to get to the seed due to the cage around it and the location of the openings. The reason I say that is because I have 3 other feeders in the same vicinity and I have filled each of them up 4 times, and this one is still 1/2 full (from the first filling). If you are wanting this just for décor it is great for that. If you are an avid bird watcher though and want it to actually feed the birds you should try another feeder. -
Cib in TN,
Not sure about this
After reading the reviews I bought this one. I have had this feeder for several weeks now and not one bird has come near it. I have a several trees in my yard and the birds are there but haven't gone to this feeder. Not sure why its not working for me -
Good only for keeping out the squirrels and for small birds -
North Syracuse, NY
A little small for my place, since I live in a condo and it just didn't fit in my balcony. You need to have a backyard for it. -
Squirrels are too smart
Unfortunately the squirrels have already ruined the feeder. They chewed through the plastic in the feeding holes and gnawed the metal band loose so that food spills out all over the deck. I just learned that red pepper helps rid the area of squirrels. I wish you had suggested this. -
I love the look, But The lid does not secure tight, and the birds are VERY cautious of it... I placed a rain and squirrel Baffle above it... And it seems each Rain , wets all the seed.. I may use it for a planter, deco, As I do love the look. As a Bird feeder ? not so much. Thak you -
Beautiful product, but poorly designed
This is a beautiful bird feeder at a great price, however, the design is not good. The bottom feeder port should allow the birds access to all the feed but this design leaves a distance of about 2 inches where the seed will not be eaten, get moldy and create problems. I had to put course sand in the bottom to bring the seed level up to where it could be accessed by the birds. Also, the design is not good for larger seed such as the black oil or the larger sunflower seeds. -
godd construction, could of had a hanger
Birds Don't Visit!
I bought this feeder to keep out the squirrels; well, the birds don't visit either. I don't know if the holes are too small or if the birds are too big!I think that this is a really pretty feeder but I'm thinking of a way to enlarge the holes. Maybe I'll have to buy very small seed. This would make a really nice gift for a bird lover. And by the way, the top does not close tightly! -
Very pretty! Second one I've bought but it rusted quickly! -
The lid didn't fit well and had to be wired shut. -
MISSING PARTS LOVED THE FIRST ONE
THE SEED JUST FALLS OUT BECAUSE ALL BUT TWO OF
THE GUARDS ARE MISSING. SHOULD SEND IT BACK BUT POSTAGE IS RIDICULOUS. THIS IS THE SECOND ONE I
HAVE BOUGHT AND LOVE THE FIRST SO WAS DISAPPOINTED, -
WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO
Beautiful but not practical
This was given to me as a Christmas present and it was a very attractive feeder. The birds in my yard had no problem getting to the food. It is NOT squirrel proof. Also, the food tube extends farther down than the bottom post and if not properly (in a timely manor) emptied, the seed will mold or sprout, and there isn't any good way to clean it. Also the rain would get in it and pool at the bottom. It is beautiful, just not practical. -
Pretty, but functionally disappointing
Love the looks, but the squirrels figured out how to get to the birdseed, therefore I am feeding the squirrels and not the birds, sad. -
put this out for my birds for over 2 wks or so and they never went near it. so I m using it in house with fake birds on the perches n decorating it with ferns to simulate a tree of sorts for the birds to sit in -
While it looks nice, one of the pegs was out due to a loose fit. The plastic tube that holds the seed is longer than the space allowed for it, thereby causing the lid to not close completely. the tab to hold the lid closed is very soft metal with no spring to it. It will not snap over the tab to hold it closed. I put a rubber band on the lid and a squirrel gnawed it in two, lifted the lid, and stuck his head in, and was eating seed. Next, I wired it shut. So far the birds haven't used it. I wouldn't recommend it. -
Squirrels Love it !
Hung it up full of seed. Within an hour, chased squirrels off it and saw them getting seed out of it. Not sensitive enough to their weight! -
Linda the bird feeder,
NOT SQUIRREL RESISTANT
I really liked the looks of this feeder, but after putting it up I saw the squirrels could open the top and actually get right inside of it! It should't have the caption of being "squirrel resistant" because it's not.. -
Not a good design
Worked great for about 2 days. Squirrels could not get in, but neither could medium-size birds. After 2 days the birds didn't come around it any more. :( -
Birds can't seem to get to the feed.
I bought this product for my mom an avid bird watcher/feeder. She hasn't seen any birds on the feeder but the squirrels promptly figuired out how to open the top. The caging seems to inhibit the birds getting to the feed. -
Very pretty but poorly constructed
Poorly constructed or parts missing. Top would not secure and nothing to hang this with...this IS a hanging feeder No information included with feeder as to how it was meant to be used. I liked the design but had to "Jerry-rig" for use -
Product is not squirrel proof!
Nice looking and durable. Design flawed, squirrels squeeze between bars and enjoy the birdseed. -
San Antonio, TX
Birds don't like it
I think the feeder is nicely made and looks nice at the feeding station, but the birds do not like it. Right now all the other feeders are empty and the birds are still not going to this one. I don't know what it is that they do not like. -
Washington DC area
Nice to look at, but ...
I purchased item because I needed a new feeder. While it is beautiful and looks terrific hanging on tree, it is difficult to clean out and began rusting within the first three months of use. -
This feeder does NOT come out of the cage-- so it can't be cleaned thoroughly! -
Not a great feeder
This is a very pretty feeder, but the birds would not use it because of the cage. They could not get in and eat the food. The food sat there for almost two weeks and the I saw a bird try to squeeze into the bars and eat. I'm sure its not a safe feeder. It might keep away the squirrels, but it also kept away the birds. -
Bird seed gets wet.
Very pretty but useless. Birds didn't like it. Bird seed got wet and moldy. -
Great Idea? Not so much...
This is a very pretty bird feeder and I was hoping it would deter the squirrels. Unfortunately, it also deters the birds! So far (about a week now) not a single bird has landed on it, and we hung it in the same place as we had our old bird feeder. We put the old bird feeder in a whole new place and the birds flock to that! They simply can't stand this one. (Sorry!) -
Attractive but seed gets wet immediatly.
It hangs in a tree. Because of poor design on top that does not seal tube. Seed gets wet easily. If wanting to keep out squirrels, it will not work. Holes in cage around tube are too large. Will be doing some modifications. -
Our squirrels must be very small
Not one bird has used this, but plenty of squirrels have. -
Not sure yet, birds not coming!
I am not sure yet. Bought 2, one for myself one for mom. Neither are being used by the birds. We have other feeders out and birds are on those but ignoring this new one. Both were filled on Saturday and are still full. Do not understand why. -
can't clean it
I loved it. It was loved by my birds, but after it rained on it I couldn't get it cleaned. Does the center tube come out? -
The birds can't access the bottom one fourth of the feeder. -
doesn't add up
the wire cage keeps squirrels out but is not big enough so a goldfinch can get in to feed. -
It looks good hanging in my garden but you get up close and it is rusting after less than 2 months. -
Pretty, but not very functional
This feeder is very pretty, but it is difficult to fill, and the top does not close tightly. This allows water to enter the tube with the seeds, and causes the seeds to rot/sprout. Also, the coated metal tabs used to close the top cracked after one use, so I anticipate this feeder will not last. -
very pretty but not practical
This bird feeder is very pretty but not very useful. there is not bottom to it, so all the seeds that birds pull out will simply fall to the ground. Also, the birds don't seem to be able to navigate inside to get at the seed holes. -
"Would not buy it again"
While it looks pretty when new and it kept the squirrels out, it started to rust after a couple of month. Difficult to clean and top lid didn't stay on straight. -
Nice, but I hope it doesn't rain.
I purchased this because the design was so different. I figured this would deter the squirrls from getting the seed away from the birds. It did just that and I was happy for that. The birds were able to lift the top lid even though hooked, flimsy. It must of rained once or twice the first week I had this out. When I went to go out to refill this. I noticed a clump of seed at the bottom. The closer I looked at it I noticed the seed was starting to grow. I then took the hose to the bird feeder to clean out and it was stuck in there as a big clump. It took about 20 min with the hose sprayer on it to get it to come out. In my mind if it can't up hold rain in summer then it's not worth my purchase. -
NOT squirrel proof
Squirrels get inside the feeder. -
Attractive, and keeps the larger birds away from the seeds BUT, the loops at the top are traps for smaller birds. More than once, a smaller bird's head got caught in the loops at the top. Unfortunately they didn't survive the ordeal so the feeder was taken down and thrown away. -

The Birds like it ---- UNTIL
Water collects in the bottom following rain and spoils feed. -
Looks better than it is
Looks great. Not very practical. Seed @ the bottom gets wet in the rain. Needs a tray to catch overflow seed. -
Colorado Springs, CO
Not worth the money
It was hard to clean and the seed got stuck in it. I would not suggest it to anyone. -
Great service. -
Pretty but lid would not stay shut
With lid not staying shut water kept getting in it and clumped up the seed and make it smell rotten. Not good. -
Where are the birds?
Finches seem afraid of the feeder -
Love to shop,
Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover
This product I sent back because of all my cons which were delicate, bottom gets wet with rain, welding doesn't hold together, wire bends easily, and birds don't use. I had up for a couple weeks and only 1 bird used. My other feeders are used daily by many birds. It's nice looking, but low quality. It might work for an artificial flower arrangement. -
Don't waste your money
It keeps out squirrels but not chipmunks. Every time it rains it needs to be rinsed out because the seeds get wet. The birds eat on the perches and 1/2 the seeds fall on the ground. I sealed the bottom and rain water still gets in and spoils the seeds. -
Oak Creek, WI
Do NOT Buy
Birds can not get to the bottom part of the feeder. The seed just sits and rots. Clips break off after one or two uses. It's not worth the $$ even on sale! Went to [@] and bought two new feeders. -
A waste of money
The birdfeeder is attractive to look at but it is not an efficient product to dispense seeds. The bottom 3 inches of the seed dispenser is a seed trap. To prevent the trapped seeds from developing rot, you have to turn the feeder upside down or remove all the seeds and start again, it too much work! Its bad design. -
Needed modification to lure birds.
Ill-fitting top let in rain and ruined seeds. Also, birds would not eat from it until I clipped some of the wires around the feeding porthole. Would not recommend to friends. -
Show Low, Arizona
I thought this would be a great hanging bird feeder--WRONG! The way the inside tube is situated, the birds can't get to the feed. Just hangs as a decoration in our yard. Sorry I wasted the money on it. -
showed nicely in catalog.
I am disappointed in the quality, lid to fill feeder doesn't close well at all. two of the posts for the birds to sit on are not even in the box and one was loose in the box and I had to put it back in the unit. -
Don't judge a book by it's cover
This bird feeder wasn't what I expected from collections. I have never been disatisfied with a product from them until this came. They look nice and are squirrel proof, the only nice thing I have to say about it. The bottom of the seed gets wet when it rains, the wire is very flimsy and easily breaks. I usually have a lot of birds eat at my feeders and I have only seen one bird in weeks. Very unhappy. Might be good to use for flower arrangements, but not a bird feeder. -
This is the first time that I have ever been disappointed from collections. It's pretty and squirrel proof, but that's all I have nice to say about it. The seed on the bottom gets wet when it rains, the wiring is flimsy and easily breakable. [...]. I wouldn't reccommed this for a bird feeder because along with the way it's made, I have had it outside for weeks and only one bird has used it while my other bird feeders are busy. -
Awful Customer Service
Haven't seen it. Bought for gift. -
Snooze You Lose,
Perches hard for small birds
Too easily accessible for squirrels, but NOT so for even the smallest finches.
Too many bars too close together in front of
perches for small birds to see and get inside. -
St. Louis, MO
Beautiful, But Non-functional
Looks GREAT, but fills w water and rusts, within one week. -
This is the worst bird feeder I have ever purchased, even the birds didn't like it. It was impossible to clean and seed on the bottom got wet and molded. Threw the feeder away. -
Williams Bay, WI
Not the Best
I loved the fact that it kept the squirrels out, but the seed collects in the bottom; gets hard and moldy, and you can't clean it out. It gets "nasty" very quickly. I've had 2 and thrown both away within a couple of months of use. -
Bel Air, MD
The Birds don't like.
THe product is strong and durable but the opening for the birds to get the seeds out don't seem to be big enough. The birds seem to ignore it. It has been hanging in my yard for a week or more. I have a lot of birds around of all sizes, but nothing. -
I don't think the birds can get into feed!! My other feeders are empty and this one is still full!! I have seen a couple of birds attempt to feed, but I don't think they can get in to to it successfully!! -
Not to good
thought would be nice but quickly rusted and water could not be kept out. A stinky mushy mess. -
Top lid does not close latch off center
The latch on the top should be secure enough to keep the squirrels from getting in. -
I am not happy with it.
Seed tube fills up with water which sits in the bottom with the seed and molds. That is hard to get out and smells terrible.
It does keep the squirrels out. -
Not weather proof
I hung this feeder on a shepherd's hook. The lid did not snap properly. Bird seed got wet and the feeder rusted. -
Coal Grove, Ohio
Pretty but Pointless
I bought two of these feeders a couple of months ago and have yet to see a bird near them. The metal bars make reaching the perches difficult and perhaps scare the birds. I'm very disappointed because I love seeing the birds feed and they won't come near it. -
Lake Geneva, WI
Bird Feeder Leaks and Rusts
I REALLY wanted to LOVE this feeder, because of it's green patina and Victorian design. Unfortunately, water leaked in and that water turned rusty, at the bottom of the feeder, in just one week. BUMMER, Man! -
Very disappointed in this bird feeder.
Very disappointed in this bird feeder. The birds could not eat of it. -
Although this is constructed to discourage squirrels, the birds don't seem to like it. I have several feeders with the same seed in all but they don't/won't use this one! -
This does not keep large birds out. Blackbirds, crows and woodpeckers have all been feeding from it. The small birds stay away. -
Not bird friendly or squirrel proof
This product would be lovely displyed in a garden as a show piece, but regretfully not useful as a bird feeder. It also is not squirrel proof. I watched as a squirrel sqeezed between the outter cage and proceeded to eat the bird seed. He was the only one to get any use out of it.
Decorative but not useful as indicated. -
Melissa the bird watcher,
A useless bird feeder
This is the last poor-quality thing I have ordered from Collections...just count me out and cancel my subsciption -
A Former Customer,
Ad stated squirrel resistant and that's not true. -
THE STYLE WAS GOOD, BUT THE SIZE OF THE WIRING SEEMED TO BE TOO SMALL TO LET THE BIRDS GET THE SEEDS. IT WAS NOT WORKING AND HAD TO CUT A BIGGER OPENING FOR THE BIRDS TO GET THE SEEDS. THE PERCH STANDS SEEMS TO BE TOO SMALL TO STAND ON. -
It's pretty but as I DO have it filled seems birds can not get to the seeds. ALWAYS full...never see birds. Looks nice...Just have to keep it filled and hope it gets used eventually. -
pretty but birds can't or won't use them. -
Don't recommend it!!!
This bird house was terrible. Too small for birds and lid won't shut. Thumbs down bigtime!!! -
A for appearance D for practicality
This bird feeder although very pretty is not practical. I've only seen 3 birds come near it and they were small. Even the smallest had trouble getting inside to feed. Usually I have many species and many birds feed at my feeders. I give this a D- for bird attraction. I may try to remove the insert seed holder somehow. -
shut the door
lid will not close..feed tube is too tall, but with the cost of return postage I will try to modify it so it will close
very pretty design but workmanship could be improved -
The perches that the birds are supposed to use to get to the seed are not in a good place. They are finding it difficult to get to then through the cage. -
Salt Lake City, UT
The top did not fit properly. We tried to fix it but could not. The result is that water will get in the birdseed. -

Most birds cannot get the food from the fee
Product not good for most birds. We haven't had one bird visiting the bird feeder since I put it up outside
I would like to return this item and get my money back -
Yonkers, New York
The birds came and looked at it and left. -

Already Falling Apart
I bought two 1 for myself and a gift for a friend. I have put mine up and I am sad it is already falling apart -
Beautiful useless feeder
This is a beautiful bird feeder, but the lid does not fit tightly and lets in rain water. About 20-25 percent of the seed in the bottom cannot be reached by the birds. These seed gets wet and forms molds. -
I would not buy this product again
Bottom doesn't have hole for water to get out, so food gets moldy. -
Jerry the bird lover,
Birds can't get to seed
Birds can't get to seed and plan on cutting wire to solve problem. -
Poor Design, Good Concept
When I chose this birdfeeder I thought perfect, it hangs, it'll keep the squirrels out and the birds will enjoy feeding. Well I was right on all three, but when I went to refill the seed, the birds didn't eat all of it because the last set of holes weren't far enough down for them to be able to reach the seed to eat, so consequently there was seed left at the bottom of the container and it began to clump and get moldy. I thought OK I'll just take the inner piece out and clean it. WRONG! There are 3 clips at the top to make it appear that you can remove the inner piece but you can't without having to take off all of the perches, which I tried to do but wasn't able to. I said this is too much this feeder is useless and I didn't have a receipt to return it so I threw out the bird feeder, what a waste of money. RUN, DON'T WALK FROM THIS FEEDER....DO NOT BUY IT...SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! -
I hung this in my garden and found that when it rained the water remained inside rotting the seed. It does not come apart for cleaning the bottom and the paint peels away allowing it to rust. It became a danger to the birds with it's rotted seed and rotted metal. -
Would not purchase again
Feeder looked very attractive, but the birds did not feed from it. Water leaked inside and the bird seed rotted. -
Birds are not interested
I have had this bird feeder hanging outside, full of seed for two weeks. The birds have not even tried to eat the seed. Have other bird feeders, the birds empty in about two days.
Cost too much to return. Should be advertised as decorative piece only. -

Squirrel free bird feeder?
I love the looks of the birdfeeder and the squirrel could not get to the seed at the bottom, but lo and behold he climbed to the top and took of the lid and had his little head inside just eating away. We had to wire it shut. -
Hanging Bird Feeder-Not Good Investment
I have purchased any things from Collections and have been really happy! Since I had read the reviews and saw a lot of positives, I am VERY disappointed. I bought four and have hung them on the shepherds hooks in my back yard (I wish I had only bought one of these to try first), to replace the wooden ones the squirrels destroyed. No birds come to these feeders! Also, I have to throw the food away every week or two because it seems to hold moisture. If it rains, the food will be moldy in a day or so.
Very frustrated I wasted my money on these feeders!!
poor construction, lid won't latch
The birdfeeder is of low quality construction. The lid has a small latch that will not lock onto the feeder because the plastic tube for the birdseed is much higher than the latch area. Thus the squirrels can easily open the top. I was given this as a gift. It is not worth returning because there is a $7.99 shipping fee and that is half the cost of the feeder. So it will quickly be ruined by the squirrels because it's not worth returning. -

not worth the money, birds do not fit
not worth it, chick-dee's can not even enjoy it, they find it hard to go in -

Birds won't use
I have had this feeder up for 3 weeks and not a single bird has used it. I even took some of the screening out so the birds could get in and they still won't use it. -
pretty but "cheap"
While it looks attractive, it's not easy to use. The bird seed gets damp and clumps. It's not easy for the squirrels but also the birds. -
Not worth the price
I had this feeder hanging two feet from another feeder. The birds flocked to the other feeder, but only went to this one when the other was empty. Almost all the birds left without trying this feeder. It is almost useless.
P.S. We feed over two hundred birds a day or more. -
Hung it out for one season and rusted also hard to clean old bird feed out. -
Very disappointed that it is not satisfactory for my garden use for feeding the many birds that come to feed. They do not use it as seed gets wet with rains and sprinkling. Bottom of glass tube is not accessible to feeding at all. -
not worth the price
one of the perches had come loose in shipping and the lid wouldn't close. -
Birds do not come to the feeder!
Birds do NOT come to this feeder! Not sure why, perhaps the wire around the center, or the color. Very disappointed! :(( -
I would not buy this again
It is a bird feeder - - how would you use it??
It is squirrel proof from the sides (+)
Bur not from the top. The clasp that holds the top shut is not secure enough and the squirrels figured out how to open it. In order to make it SQUIRREL PROOF I had to wire the top shut which makes it difficult to fill. -
Too much whiz and not enough bang
Had problems with squirrels getting into my other bird feeder. I thought this feeder was "the solution " to keeping the squirrels out, it does, but I have had it up 3 weeks now and the birds will not use it, I think they are afraid of the cage part of the feeder.
I bought 2 , one to give as a gift, which I will not do now -

Poor design that birds can't eat
This is a nice looking feeder, however the plastic container that sits inside is poorly designed. Also the metal cage is is too narrow for the average birds. I had it hanging out for 1 week filled with seed with my other feeders. Birds don't even attempt it. -
DO NOT BUY
TERRIBLE..............do not purchase, food gets caked in on the bottom and smells something awful. Threw them out!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
birds won't try to get in
doesn't work, small birds won't even try to get in to feed -
birds don''t use it
this birdfeeder is very attractive it not only keeps squirrels away it keeps birds away too. since I hung it I haven't had one bird come to it I think it could be the shinny surface that goes around inside the feeder it scares the birds when they see their reflection or maybe the small squares they have to go through to get into the perches. Beautiful but it's a piece of junk. -
Lid would not stay closed so that water would stay out. Birds don't like wet moldy seed. -
Form over function
I purchased this years ago. It is very pretty but doesn't work well as a bird feeder. The problem is it leaks. When it rains water makes it way inside the top, collects in the bottom of the seed tube and you get moldy feed. It is extremely hard to clean the tube when this happens. I really liked this feeder but nothing that I did corrected the leak. I tired to remove the tube (it was icky inside) and use it as a decoration. The good news…it is really well constructed. Try as I might I could not remove the tube. -
The Birds wouldn't use them. I bought 2. ended
up putting them in the trash. Postage to expensive
to return. -
