  • Good value when on sale

Despite what others are saying, on sale this is a good item and better than those hard-to-handle green roll up plastic borders you see at the big box stores. I was considering buying those last year but this is around same price on sale so I'd rather have these. I agree picture is misleading, they seemed smaller than I was expecting. But still fine for small projects. I've put other borders in the ground and so of course you're supposed to water the ground before inserting them, the others who didn't it is unfortunate. - , Des Moines, IA

  • Great Stone Look Garden Border

I was extremely happy with this purchase. This border creates a neat look to the garden. It is the perfect height for edging a garden because it doesn't hide the flowers behind it. Follow the instructions about wetting the ground which makes it easier to push in the stakes. I had to dig holes for the stakes because my ground is hard and rocky. - , New Jersey

  • Looks Great

This is a second review from me on this product. I had to order one last set to finish going all the way around my back yard lawn. I feel it is totally worth the work involved in installing them. I'd like to offer some hints: If you have heavy clay soil (as I do) soak area heavily first; dig a trench straight down deep enough for the stake (they are not sturdy enough to push through the soil in the clay). I gently curved the corners and around some bushes to add interest-- and it looks great! - , Sacramento, CA

  • Great walkway border

These look terrific and do a great job edging a small hill to hold back erosion when watering. I had a hard time getting them into the ground and think they would do better with a metal spike. But once installed they were well worth the purhcase. They do the job and look great!!! - , Oceanside CA

This is a nice accent to my sidewalk. I recommend using a trowel when installing. Looks great! - , Oklahoma City Oklahoma

    Category: Outdoors

  • GREAT

I made a beautiful 40' path & then bought more to continue. What made it a little hard to assemble was, if you have a section put together & the next piece hits a root & all you want to do is move it a little, the whole section comes apart & you have to put it back together. Otherwise, well worth the time & money. Lots of compliments. - , portland, or

When we saw this border it looked like just what we were looking for. We didn't want to spend a lot on it....just looking for a little border for some plants..this filled the bill. - , Rensselaer, NY

    Category: Outdoors

  • OK

Decent product for the $$. Wish they were a bit thicker/sturdy. Makes a nice border around trees or landscape border. If the ground is very hard (clay, like in S.C.) it is hard to push the flimsy stake in the ground without 1st pre-punching the soil with a steel spike. Would buy again though. Would be nice if several color options were available. - , Rock Hill S.C.

    Category: Outdoors

  • I would buy this product again

These look really good once you get them together. They are a little tedious to install because they cannot take much tension or they will pull apart. Takes several moves to get them in the ground and connected. You may want to purchase on more than you think you need because of the tension issue. - , Louisville, KY

  • Nice edge

This product looks very nice once installed in the flower bed. You do have to be carefull when pushing it into the ground because it will flip and bend and if you are not carefull would probably break. It is affordable and does look great, it also helps to hold the mulch in place so it doesn't run over into the yard. - , West Virginia

  • Great Border

I knew I would need quite a bit of these to use in my new front lawn gardens, but the first time I didn't buy enough. I was a little disappointed in the construction of these borders, as I broke 3 of them with just my first order. I bought more, making my total come to 8 boxes. They do look rather nice, although I wish both sides looked like stone. The back side doesn't have the stone cut, and it looks cheep seeing it from the back. However, the price is good, and these are a good idea if you don't have a lot of money to spend on the real deal. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with these borders. - , Ottawa, Kansas

  • looks great around my flowers

I put this around my flower garden with such ease,it looks great. It took only mins. to do. - , Jackson, Michigan

    Category: Outdoors

  • What You'd Expect for the Price

At this price these are obviously plastic. That said they handle 15-20 hammer strokes quite well. Make sure your ground is solf (water well 30-60 minutes before planting them) and guide them down the edge of a gardening trowel if necessary. If you treat them kindly they will reward you with a flower bed edge that is very becoming for a fraction of the cost of anything you can find at the big box stores. A set of 10 runs ~22/3 yards. - , Sherman TX

I will used those plastic stones like a decoration. If you think they are big as the picture shows they are not. I read all th reviews before and I was so sure that they were small. If you try to get somethng big not buy them biut if you are trying to decorate something cute and small I will recommend themm. - , CharlestonS.C.

  • not as big as expected

thought the pieces might be a little sturdier, but managed to use them as a border where needed - , Palm Harbor, FL

    Category: Outdoors

  • Works fine

I read the reviews and it still sounded like it would fit my needs. This product is certainly plastic, but all I needed it for was to surround a small garden plot to hold the dirt in. It is working just fine, and from a short distance, it looks pretty good. This summer, I am actually planning on beefing it up a little bit and maybe painting it. It really was exactly what I needed. - , Oakdale, CA

    Category: Outdoors

  • They are OK

They kept coming apart as I tried to put them in the ground and it took me much longer to install them. - , Saugerties, NY

    Category: Outdoors

  • Not as expected

With only a single "spike" with which to imbed this in the ground, it ends up being quite flimsy. It would have been better if two "spikes" had been affixed to each section (one at each end) and it would have made it more sturdy and durable. Oh well, it was a cheap fix for what I needed at the time. - , Toledo, OH

    Category: Outdoors

  • Not as nice as they look

While the overall look is nice, they were very difficullt to work with, needed extra pair of hands. Once they had been adjusted for a curve or corner they did not hold together well. They will work this season but would not get again. - , Ohio

    Category: Outdoors

  • Too small

I read all the reviews and didn't want to pay attention, but yes, they are so small parts. I liked them, but still, is not for I wanted. You can use this product for school projects, for something small at your yard, but very small. In the picture, this item looks a lot bigger. - , Charleston,S.C.

    Category: Outdoors

  • Stakes are not sturdy enough

The stakes of the edging should be longer and sturdier. Otherwise they are just fine. - , Eastchester, NY

    Category: Outdoors

  • More flimsy then expected

I used the product to border my Garden. It was easy to install and hook together It is so flimsy the kids in the neighborhood are all ready breaking them off. I was dissappointed that they were not double sided. I have some spots in the garden where the wrong side shows and I do not like that. - , Portland, OR

    Category: Outdoors

  • Don't look too closely

These borders are easy to put together, but they're not as flexible as they look in the picture. Not only that, there is no real "stone-look" about them. They are simply grey plastic. Luckily I intended to use them as a border that is far enough away from the street to not look so cheap. Hopefully no one will walk across my front lawn! Usually the items I order from Collections are more true to form than this item. - , St Petersburg, FL

    Category: Outdoors

  • Stone Edging

I think they look good but there are challenges to installation: 1. you have install left to right for the interlocking connection to work 2. connections separate if you pull against the connection 3. going up or down hill means the stakes cannot be fully input to ground as the bottom of the female connector is solid (could cut through the base but then heights will be non-uniform On the flat they look great and DO hold back the mulch even when 2.86" rain falls in one day - , Charlotte NC

    Category: Outdoors

  • yes

    Category: Outdoors

  • Not crazy about the product.

It looks much nicer in the catalog. It's lightweight so easy to move if needed. The depth is thin so I believe it could easily be pushed over and broken. However, that hasn't happened and some people might love it. I'm going to try and use it in a different place then what I first planned. - , Colorado

    Category: Outdoors

  • Picture is deceiving

The picture leads you to believe these are larger so I was disappointed in the size. They are cheap plastic but I was expecting that. For those with trouble getting the stakes in the ground, I recommend using a knife to stab a slot in the ground then the stake goes in nicely. - , Lino Lakes, MN

  • Not as realistic looking as picture

Not as realistic looking as shown in the picture. Flimsy when trying to insert in ground. Too flimsy to "pound" anything on it to help put it in ground. Delivery very prompt. - , Maryland

    Category: Outdoors

  • Unhappy With Quality

I use the stone border edging along a walkway. They are very cheaply made and your ground must be soaked before inserting into the ground. If you use these in a well tilled or very soft ground, perhaps they will work fine. - , South Dakota

  • Too flimsy

This item was attractive in the catalog but I was unable to use it. It's very thin plastic therefore it will not stay in the ground or even stay upright. It was like a toy. - , Virginia

  • These are awful

I wanted these to go around a flower bed but they are difficult to push into the ground and definitely won't stand up to a hammer to push into the ground. I tried pushing it into the ground but the stake broke right away. They also, when you put them together, end up falling outward and don't look nice. Try something else! - , Seattle, WA

  • Greatly Dissatisfied

Sorry but this border neither looks real, is sturdy enough to hold anything back nor is it tall enough to be of any use for anything except the smallest plant. It was a mispurchase on my part. I would not recommend this to anyone. - , Tehachapi, CA

    Category: Outdoors

  • Garden Border

I bought this very cautiously after reading the reviews, to surround a small (3x5 ft.) pond. I decided to chance it because in years of purchasing here I had never been disappointed. I think the stakes should have been metal or at least a much heavier plastic. They were impossible to interlock, especially where I needed them to curve. In some places, they can't even touch. Also, I think it would have been better to have them interlock from the bottom instead of at the top of the sections. The color was just what I wanted though. I will make it work to hold my mulch, and it doesn't look too bad from afar, but overall I am very disappointed with the product and my end result. - , Delta, PA

    Category: Outdoors

  • Waste of my money

My mistake of ordering two sets, it does not work. I did every possible way to use this border, it will pass as a plant marker by writing on it to identify your plant and not as a border. I wet the ground to let the stake get in using my mallet but never did stand. Waste of money. I did not even use the second box of set, returning it could cost me more. I will throw or donate it. - , Warner Robins Georgia

  • Very disappointing

Pieces are very thin and flimsy. The 5-inch spike is difficult to force into the ground without fear of breaking. The slot connections force you to install in a left-to-right pattern, a real challenge if you're trying to end at a wall to your right. Making a straight line is virtually impossible! - , Baltimore
