  • Mint Julep Rose looks promising!

This rose is hard to find. Other reviews indicate it might not be a true Mint Julep, some report a yellow rose instead. There weren't any other options, so I'm giving this a try. The root stock I received was extraordinarily large and healthy looking. Shoots are bursting out all over, so things are off to a good start. I won't know if the coloring is a true Mint Julep until mid-end of summer, but I am hopeful and impressed by the quality of the rose stock. - , Rockville, MD

  • Have I Been Duped????

I ordered this rose because it looked beautiful in the catalogue. It is pictured as a beautiful full rose with green highlights at the edge of the petals. I realize that expert lighting is normally used to best display an object, but, I think they might have gone too far this time. I planted the rose as soon as I received it and it grew rapidly, but, it appears to be a mini. It was not described as a mini, but judging by the appearance of the plant, it may be one. So far, the actual roses on the bush are very small and have a pathetic 10 petals. (Feel free to count them for yourself) Two roses have bloomed so far and both have been a pathetic excuse for the rose in the picture. Maybe it will grow into what was described, but I have grown roses for many years and my understanding is that, what you see is what you have. I am very disappointed in this rose so far and I don't think it is ever going to be what I paid for and thought I was getting. - , Chico, CA

I couldn't wait to get this, I had seen nothing like it in the garden shops. After it didn't arrive when it should have, I contacted customer service who promply sent out another one. It's blooming right now and it's RED. The original order eventually arrive, totally destroyed. I don't need a red rose in my landscape so I'm going to dig it up and give it to my Mom - , Indianapolis, In

  • Colors are not right

The Rose bush arrived and I planted it right away. The first year I had this, the roses weren't what I expected. I thought that I could give it another year and it would mature. The second year is here. There are a lot of blooms, but all the flowers are white with no other colors. Somewhat disappointing when I really did not want a white rose bush. - , Riverside, CA

  • Looks nothing like the picture

I purchased this based on what the picture looks like. After it bloomed it looked absolutely nothing like the rose shown. Does not have the golden-yellow blooms tipped with shades of lime-green, it's plain yellow and doesn't look like a rose at all. Not sure what they sent me. - , VA

I got this plant for myself and my mom we both planted our roses in march in a 9-10 zones and nothing has happened yet. We also planted bare roots from a local store and they are growing like weeds. When we got the plants they had some sprigs on them then they dried up so, the plants never woke up even after we soaked the roots in warm water for a few hours before planting. I bought 2 rose bushes from different companies, which were less expensive and 4 times the size of this rose bush, which was $4.00 more. It had very few roots. I hope it lives and maybe I'll get roses in about 3 years. [...] For [$] each, I would have expected something much better.
