Has worked great!
My cat was constantly scratching the corners of my love seat. Nothing I tried to get her to stop worked. That is, nothing until I got this cat scratching shields. They were easy to install, and after inspecting them, Inara has left the corners of the love seat alone. I've had them for about a month now, and I am so glad I decided to give them a try! -
Would buy again and I'm going to!
This item is perfect. I have 3 cats and one of them started using the corner arms of the sofa as her personal scratching post. Saw these and figured I'd give them a try. Received them and they were very easy to attach. They are a harder plastic but still bend very easily and mold to the arms of the couch. The size was perfect for the sofas. They are clear and don't really stand out. And my cat has ceased to scratch the arms. Win win for us. -

This looks great on my new couch and has kept the cats away. Would highly recommend to protect your furniture. -
other uses for these
As a person who looks at items for how they can be used to fit my needs rather than use them for what they were intended, these worked perfectly for me. I have a shelf on my freezer door that just has the one single thin bar to hold things in...a single box of breakfast sandwiches was always sliding under the bar when the freezer door was opened. I overlapped 2 of these because I had a short set; set one flat side on the shelf and the other against the bar and I now have no more slippage...boxes stay put! Could probably use for drawer dividers too. -
This works for me!
I am pleased with the purchase. My cat leaves the sofa alone now. -
CATS SCRATHED & TORE THEM OFF
I put 8 of them on my furniture. The cats didn't like them for about a week, then began to pull and on them and scratch next to them. They hooked their nails under them until they had them loose in six months even though I was retightening the screws. I'm glad they worked for the other reviewer, but did not work for me -
