Product Description

To conserve metal during WWII, pennies were made a bit differently than those issued today. This historic collection includes the 1943 steel penny, as well as 1944, ’45, and ’46 coins struck from shell casings off battlefields. Includes issues from Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints, mounted with wheat backs visible on reverse. Set of 12 coins arrives sealed in 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" acrylic case, and includes Certificate of Authenticity. Set of 12.
