Viewed as the finest armored fighting vehicle of World War II, the 1944 Panther was a third model in the impressive German Panther series. Based on large part upon the Soviet's highly successful medium-sized tank with fearsome machine gunnery, this tank weighed 43 tons due to its massive frontal armor. Five military men manned this effective fighting vehicle including a driver, radio operator who also fired the exposed machine gun up top, gunner, loader and commander.
