Product Description

First flown in 1938, The Douglas SBD Dauntless was the United States Navy's workhorse dive-bomber during World War II. The cockpit accommodated the pilot who manned a fixed-forward gun, and the rear cockpit contained a machine gun as a major defense role. Purposely designed holes on the brake flaps helped the plane achieve pinpoint accuracy when diving to the target. This 1:72 scale metal replica, complete with display stand, is a prized collectible from that battle. Intended for the adult collector, not children. Die-cast metal. 7 1/4"L x 7 1/4"W x 2 1/4"H.
