The P-51D Mustang was built as a long-range fighter and bomber, and was the best fighter aircraft of late WWII. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American aviators in the United States armed forces who fought during World War II. They were reassigned to the 15th Air Force to escort B-17 and B-24 heavy bombers, using P-47 and P-51 airplanes. This 1:100 scale die-cast metal airplane model comes in 1:100 scale with a plastic display stand. Measures 7"L with a 4 1/2" wingspan.
