Product Description
Hawaii overprint notes were issued during WWII as an emergency issue after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The intent of overprints was to easily distinguish U.S. currency and render the bills useless if servicemen were captured by the Japanese forces during an invasion. This contemporary, uncirculated bill features a reproduction overlay of “HAWAII” stamped on reverse with “Hawaii,” “WWII Emergency Issue,” and “Pearl Harbor Dec 7 1941” stamped on obverse. Includes a certificate of authenticity and vinyl display folio.
