Product Description

The Trillion Dollar coin is an idea that emerged during the U.S. debt ceiling crisis in 2011 as a proposed way to bypass the necessity for congress to raise the country's borrow limit through minting very high-value coins. The proposal was rejected by the Federal Reserve and the coins were never minted. The Merrick Mint privately minted this proof nickle-silver, non-monetary medallion as a collectible heirloom. Each weighs one full ounce and measures a large 39mm in size. Includes an acrylic coin capsule, display stand and Certificate of Authenticity. Metal, acrylic, paper. Coin is 1 1/2"Dia.
